mcgregor's community earth day celebration
Make plans to join us on Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM for our Annual Earth Day Celebration! Rain or shine! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors! We have so many fun and educational things planned, including live music! Carolina Bluegrass Style, the winner of Nashville’s Josie 2025 Bluegrass Group of the Year Award, will be playing from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM featuring their own special mix of bluegrass, rock, reggae, and classical songs. (McGregor’s own Tyler Chasteen is their rhythm and lead guitarist as well as a vocalist.)
There will be free snacks, door prizes, and fun learning stations for all ages. Bring plants for the plant swap or purchase plants grown by our McGregor Preschool. Make your own native bee house. Purchase t-shirts, children’s books, cutting boards, and artisan bread. Donate $25 to McGregor’s Snack Packs Program and receive a beautiful, handcrafted pottery item from the Midlands Clay Arts Society. Bring items to donate to local causes: new or gently used shoes, textiles, plastic bags, as well as items for pets (pet food, pet supplies, and linens) to donate to Final Victory Animal Rescue and Snug Harbor Wildlife Rescue & Sanctuary.
Final Victory Animal Rescue and Snug Harbor Wildlife Rescue & Sanctuary will showcase animals at the Earth Day Celebration. Final Victory Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no kill dog and cat rescue organization with adoption and fostering programs located in West Columbia, SC. Snug Harbor Wildlife Rescue & Sanctuary is a non-profit organization, based in Chapin, SC, specializing in rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured and orphaned wildlife back into their natural habitat.

THIS IS US!
The Education and Congregational Care Committees are excited to announce a new feature for our weekly E-Messenger which is designed to help us get to know each other better! Each week, beginning in October, we will highlight one individual/family and give a little information about them that you may not already know. Contact Jayne Woodward or Robin Moseley for the information form, which asks a few questions for you to answer about yourselves. Then you can email the form back to mcgpresadm@gmail.com or print it out and leave it in the church office. We will write the article using the information you provide. A copy of the article will be sent to you for approval before it is included in the newsletter. Questions? Contact Jayne Woodward (803) 730-5072, minniewoodward@aol.com or Robin Moseley (803) 730-7780, robin1030@bellsouth.net.
