  • MOTHER'S DAY OFFERING

Since 1954, Presbyterian churches in South Carolina have marked Mother’s Day with an offering to support the ministry of Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina (PCSC).  This offering is used solely to provide charitable care to residents who, through no fault of their own, need assistance to continue living in the place they call home.  Please give generously when we receive this offering on Mother’s Day – Sunday, May 10, 2026.  Contact Louise Carter for more information.

  • THIS IS US!

The Education and Congregational Care Committees are excited to announce a new feature for our weekly E-Messenger which is designed to help us get to know each other better!  Each week, beginning in October,  we will highlight one individual/family and give a little information about them that you may not already know.  Contact Jayne Woodward or Robin Moseley for the information form, which asks a few questions for you to answer about yourselves.  Then you can email the form back to mcgpresadm@gmail.com or print it out and leave it in the church office.  We will write the article using the information you provide.  A copy of the article will be sent to you for approval before it is included in the newsletter.  Questions?  Contact Jayne Woodward (803) 730-5072, minniewoodward@aol.com or Robin Moseley (803) 730-7780, robin1030@bellsouth.net

  • MISSION OPPORTUNITIES

SNACK PACKS PROGRAM:  Each week during the school year we provide food for the weekend (snack packs) for children in 5 Lexington/Richland District 5 schools.  Join us each Sunday morning after the Worship Service to pack Snack Packs.  We are collecting individual serving packets (.75 oz.) of instant grits and applesauce cups (4oz.) through mid-May.  Please drop off your donations in the marked bin in the church lobby.  Financial donations are always welcomed and much appreciated!

ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY DATES:  MAY 16, AUGUST 15, AND NOVEMBER 14  Join us at Nursery Road Elementary School far parking lot to pick up litter along Nursery Road, Nursery Hill Road, and Green Pines Road.  Gloves and closed toe shoes are recommended and a grabber stick may be useful.  Contact Linda Byars at byars133@bellsouth.net for more information.

LOVE REVOLUTION MEAL MINISTRY:  Every second Sunday afternoon, 3:30-5:00 PM at Seven Oaks Presbyterian, McGregor volunteers share a meal with our neighbors in need.  Volunteers and prepared, ready-to-serve food donations are much appreciated.  Contact Mary Ellen Thompson at nicunurse96@gmail.com for more information.

KEEP THE MIDLANDS BEAUTIFUL SHOE DRIVE:  McGregor will once again collect new or gently used shoes for the Annual Keep the Midlands Beautiful Shoe Drive until Sunday, April 26, 2026.  These shoes will be reused.  If possible, each pair of shoes should be tied or rubber banded together.  Shoes in poor condition can go in the Clothing Bin, located by the aluminum can recycling bin in the Preschool parking lot.  Those shoes will be recycled.

CEREAL BOX RECYCLING:  Have an empty cereal box?  Save it, flatten it, and then drop it off in the marked bin in the church lobby.  The box will be used for a cool school project led by school resource officers.  Contact Jane Hiller at janehiller@gmail.com for details.
