  • SPIRIT IN NATURE WALK

If you are seeking to connect more directly with nature, with other human and non-human beings, join Glenda Swearingen for a Spirit in Nature Walk on Sunday, March 22, from 2:30-4:00 PM at Sesquicentennial State Park.

Bring an open mind and heart, camp chair or blanket, journal, and water.  Everyone will meet near the Jackson Creek Trailhead (next to the Lake Spillway).  This is a 0.3 mile walk from the parking lot, that is mainly on paved surfaces.  The group will gather briefly, then take a solitary contemplative walk or sit (however nature is calling you), then gather back together for a final time of sharing.

Contact Glenda Swearingen at glendarae@aol.com to register for the nature walk or for more information.  All are welcome.  Rain or shine.  This is a private event, not a Sesqui State Park Event.  Park entrance fee is required.  Sesqui State Park (located at 9564 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC) Admission Fees:  $6 adults; $3.75 seniors (65+); $3.50 children (6-15 years); and children 5 and under are free.

  • IRMO CHILI COOK OFF

  • THIS IS US!

The Education and Congregational Care Committees are excited to announce a new feature for our weekly E-Messenger which is designed to help us get to know each other better!  Each week, beginning in October,  we will highlight one individual/family and give a little information about them that you may not already know.  Contact Jayne Woodward or Robin Moseley for the information form, which asks a few questions for you to answer about yourselves.  Then you can email the form back to mcgpresadm@gmail.com or print it out and leave it in the church office.  We will write the article using the information you provide.  A copy of the article will be sent to you for approval before it is included in the newsletter.  Questions?  Contact Jayne Woodward (803) 730-5072, minniewoodward@aol.com or Robin Moseley (803) 730-7780, robin1030@bellsouth.net

  • 2026 easter sunday sanctuary flowers

This year, due to allergy issues, we are ordering white potted geraniums in lieu of lilies to decorate the Sanctuary for the Easter Sunday Service.  You may designate a geranium in honor of or in memory of a loved one for $18 per designation.  The designations will be listed on an insert in the Easter Sunday, April 5 bulletin.  The final deadline for all orders and payment is Sunday, March 15.  No extra geraniums will be ordered.  Order forms available in the Sunday bulletins and church office.
