We are thrilled that you have decided to learn more about McGregor and invite you to join us for worship. Here are some things you might want to know before you visit.
People will talk to you. We enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life and joining together for worship.
We are seekers. We don’t have all the answers, but we learn and grow together through classes, including Sunday School (4K through adult), weekday morning Bible studies, and evening classes. We value questions and challenge each other to be better followers of Christ.
We love kids. When the Spirit moves through children, it can be noisy. We embrace the joyful sounds from our youngest worshipers. We offer a children’s time during each service followed by children’s church for children ages 5 through first grade and provide a nursery for children ages 4 and younger starting at 9:30 a.m.
Come as you are. People come comfortably dressed, with some choosing dresses or sports coats and others a more casual look. We don’t care what you wear.
Music helps us connect to God. We sing a mix of traditional and contemporary hymns. Our services feature music from our adult and children’s choirs, and it’s not unusual to see someone playing guitar or violin during worship.
You are welcome at the communion table. Our communion service is on the first Sunday of the month, and all are invited at God’s table.
Some people rush out of the service. But they aren’t leaving! After worship, we gather for light refreshments in the fellowship hall or head to an adjacent room to prepare Snack Packs for local schoolchildren.
There’s plenty of parking. McGregor has ample parking beside and behind the church. If you need assistance on a Sunday morning, contact the church office during the week, and our administrative assistant will arrange for an usher to help you inside.
