Worship is the heart of the Christian community. We gather regularly to praise God through liturgy, prayer, sermon and song. Our worship is centered in Scripture, which nurtures our life as disciples of Jesus Christ. Responding to God’s love, we offer our best gifts and follow God into the world.
The worship service at McGregor is largely traditional, though we also enjoy spiritual songs from more current composers, music from the Taize community, creative sermons, and dramatic readings. Children participate in a Time with Children with the pastor before leaving for Children's Church. A staffed nursery is also provided for our youngest disciples. People of all ages participate in leading worship because we value the gifts of all God’s children.
We celebrate the sacrament of communion on the first Sunday of each month, as well as during special services, such as Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, and Easter Sunday. All are welcome at Christ's Table.
