  • Confronting Racism Through the

    Lens of our christian faith

Lead by: Rev. Julie Bird and Christina Isenhower

    October 20, 27, November 3, 10, and 17

    4:30 to 6:00 PM

Join us as we engage in conversations about race in America and how our faith may help us find constructive ways to confront racism when we see it in our communities.

We will use two books, White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo and Who Lynched Willie Earle by Will Willimon, to guide discussions.

White Fragility examines the discomfort white people have in talking about race related issues and addresses how we can better participate in meaningful conversations.

Willimon's book uses a real life example of violence in South Carolina to encourage

Christians to thoughtfully use their voices and platforms to denounce racist acts.

  • Service of wholeness and healing

Come and worship, as we acknowledge our need for the wholeness that only God can provide.
